Bogura: The joint forces in a drive evicted over 200 illegal structures built occupying roads, underpass, and footpaths from the Mahasthangarh area of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, apart from the 200 permanent establishments, temporary structures made of bamboo, wood, and corrugated sheets, built beside roads, highways, underpasses, and footpaths, were also demolished during the drive. The operation took place on Saturday.
The operation was led by Captain Sadiq and conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of Bogura District Administration, Taswar Tanjamul Haque. Stern legal action will be taken against the encroachers if they attempt to reoccupy the land, said the executive magistrate.
