Mild to Moderate Heat Wave Affects Regions Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: A mild to moderate heat wave is currently affecting various parts of Bangladesh, as predicted by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The heat wave is sweeping across the Rajshahi division and the districts of Dinajpur, Jashore, and Chuadanga, with expectations that it may persist. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, rain and thunder showers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds are likely to occur in one or two places over the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. Meanwhile, the weather in other parts of the country is expected to remain mainly dry, with a temporary partly cloudy sky. The BMD bulletin indicates that both day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country. On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39.0 degrees Celsius in the Rajshahi district, Rajshahi division, while the minimum temperature was noted at 21.5 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. For those in the capital, the sun is set to disappear at 6:25 PM today a nd will rise again at 5:27 AM tomorrow.
