Dhaka: The National Identity Registration Wing of the Election Commission (EC) has taken the significant step of locking the National Identity Cards (NIDs) belonging to Sheikh Hasina and nine of her family members. This action has been confirmed by Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, System Manager of the EC's National Identity Registration Wing.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the family members affected by this decision include Sajeeb Wazed, Saima Wazed, Sheikh Rehana Siddiq, Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, Azmina Siddiq, Shaheen Siddiq, Bushra Siddiq, Radwan Mujib Siddiq, and Tarique Ahmed Siddiq. The locking of these NIDs means that no further corrections or changes can be made to the information contained within them. Consequently, Sheikh Hasina and her family will be unable to access any services related to the NIDs.
