Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has emphasized the necessity of maintaining unity at any cost, despite existing differences of opinion within his party. “We have to maintain unity at any cost. There might be differences of opinion; we will sit and discuss,” he stated, adding, “We will try to refrain from doing anything that would help the dictator regain its power.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tarique Rahman delivered these remarks while virtually addressing an iftar program organized by a 12-party alliance at a Malibagh hotel. He underscored the importance of implementing reforms anticipated by the people through discussions with all stakeholders, highlighting that democracy ensures people’s right to vote.
