IU Theology Faculty Opens Applications for New Undergraduate Intake

Kushtia: The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have announced the opening of applications for the undergraduate program under D unit. An official notice, signed by IU acting registrar Professor Dr. Manjurul Haque, confirmed this development.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the admission test for the four departments under two faculties within the D unit is scheduled. The departments included are Al-Quran and Islamic Studies, Da’wah and Islamic Studies, Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies under the Theology and Islamic Studies faculty, and the Arabic Language and Literature department under the Arts faculty.



Eligible candidates are those who appeared in the SSC examination in 2020, 2021, or 2022 and the HSC examination in 2023 or 2024. These students can apply for the admission test, which will take place from March 16 to March 28. Applicants are required to submit their applications through the university’s official website, http://www.iu.ac.bd/admission, with a fee of Tk. 1500 payable via mobile or online banking platforms such as Bkash, Rocket, or Nagad.



The admission test, consisting of 80 marks, is scheduled for May 11. All applicants are eligible to sit for the exam, and a penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer, as stated in the notice. Additionally, the notice extends an invitation for international students to apply according to the Foreign Students Admission Ordinance.



The results of the admission test and subsequent procedures will be published on IU’s official website at a later date, the notice further informed.
