Narsingdi: Police in a drive arrested two people with two foreign-made pistols and two bullets from Changvanda area of Ekduaria Union in Monohardi upazila of the district last night. The arrestees were identified as Md. Mamun Pradhan, 36, son of Montaz Uddin Pradhan, and Azim Khan, 25, son of the late Delwar Hossain Khan, residents of Ashrafpur (Chakbari) area of Shibpur upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Md. Abdul Hannan, speaking at a press briefing, stated that on a tip-off, a team of police from Monohardi Police Station conducted a special operation leading to the arrest. The operation resulted in the seizure of two foreign-made pistols and two bullets.
A case has been filed in connection with the seizure and arrest.
