Dhaka: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has stated that the cohorts of the ousted fascist regime are attempting to destabilize the country through significant investments, but their efforts will not succeed. He made these remarks while speaking to journalists before attending a workshop.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, focused on “Law Enforcement with Emphasis on Human Rights and Environment in the Country’s Changed Situation” and took place at the conference hall of the Primary Teachers Institute. The IGP emphasized that they are prioritizing human rights while managing law and order and mentioned the arrest of notorious criminals under the ‘Operation Devil Hunt.’
The IGP outlined that the interim government initiated ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ to address unrest and ensure the safety of the public nationwide. The operation aims to detain individuals who pose a threat to national stability and will continue until all culprits are apprehended.
He further clarified that ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ would persist until every wrongdoer is held accountable. IGP Baharul Alam also urged his colleagues to contribute to the success of the operation to build crime-free communities.
He reminded them of the importance of collaboration to achieve the goal of ensuring peace and safety across society.
