Munshiganj: BNP standing committee member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain has called for national elections to be held by December, emphasizing that parliamentary elections should take precedence. "The responsibility of the interim government is not holding local government elections but national polls. National elections should be held by December next," he stated while addressing a rally organized by Munshiganj District BNP at the local bus stand area.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Mosharraf Hossain affirmed that if the BNP is elected, it will implement necessary reforms to meet the country's needs. He criticized the Awami League, stating that despite attempts over 16 years, they could not destroy the BNP. He urged BNP members to avoid misconduct, ensuring that they do not replicate the actions of the Awami League.

The rally was chaired by District BNP convener Mizanur Rahman Sinha and witnessed speeches from various party leaders, including Mohammad Mohiuddin, Saidul Alam Babul, and Mir Sarafath Ali Sapu.
