Khulna: A two-day national job fair was held at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) with the call for generating job spaces for the engineering graduates properly. The Professional Skill Development Club of KUET organized the fair at the indoor premises of the Students Welfare Centre. The event concluded with a career session and closing ceremony on Tuesday evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 19 institutions comprising multiple corporate companies from different parts of the country participated in the fair. The event attracted around 5,000 students from various universities, including KUET, who submitted their curriculum vitae both offline and online over the two-day period.
The closing ceremony was attended by KUET Vice-chancellor Prof Muhammad Masud and Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Sheikh Shariful Islam, who addressed the gathering as chief and special guests, respectively. The career sessions were conducted by industry professionals, including Umme Afiya Akter, Manager (Human Resources) of Hamim Group; Himel Dutta Newton, Head of Human Resources of Excel Technologies; Managing Director of Spectrum, Rabbi Mollah; and Junior Executive Nazifa Siara, who shared their expertise on career development.
