DHAKA: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that the country will experience dry weather over the next twenty-four hours, beginning this morning. The agency anticipates that the skies will remain partially cloudy during this period.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ridge of the sub-continental high pressure system is extending towards West Bengal and its adjoining areas, while a seasonal low is situated over the South Bay, with its trough reaching into the Northeast Bay. This weather pattern is likely to result in moderate to thick fog over the northern regions, and light to moderate fog elsewhere across the country from midnight until morning.

The BMD also indicated a slight drop in both night and day temperatures across Bangladesh. On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded at 31.0 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, while the lowest was 9.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia. The sun is expected to set at 5:21 p.m. today and rise at 6:41 a.m. tomorrow in the capital city.
