Dhaka: Singaporean companies are showing a strong interest in investing in Bangladesh, as confirmed by Grace Fu Hai Yien, Singapore's Minister for Sustainability and Environment and Trade. During a meeting with Bangladesh Special Envoy for International Affairs, Lutfey Siddiqi, in Singapore, Minister Fu highlighted the investment potential in Bangladesh, with a particular focus on sectors such as infrastructure and logistics. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minister Fu expressed confidence in Bangladesh's long-term potential, despite recent political changes. In a message shared on her verified Facebook page, she underscored the commitment of the Singapore government to support companies interested in investing in the South Asian nation. "Many Singapore companies are operating or have interest to invest in Bangladesh," she noted, emphasizing the sectors of infrastructure and logistics as key areas of interest. Minister Fu also expressed her enthusiasm for strengthening economic ties between the tw o countries and exploring opportunities to foster closer relations between their peoples. The meeting underscored the warm and longstanding diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Singapore, which have been in place since 1972. The Singapore government remains keen on deepening these economic linkages and supporting business ventures that contribute to mutual growth and development.
