Rangpur: The Bibhagiyo Lekhok Parishad (BLP) in Rangpur has unveiled its new 41-member central executive committee, appointing cultural figure Kazi Md Junnon as President and writer Zakir Ahmed as General Secretary. This announcement was made during a function at the Sahitya Parishad auditorium in the city on Wednesday night, as stated in a recent press release. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made by the organization's advisory council member, educationist, and writer Professor Dr. A. I. M. Musa. The event marked the introduction of a team that will guide the BLP's activities until December 2026. The committee comprises several key positions, including Senior Vice-president SM Sathi Begum, Vice-president Rashidul Islam Chowdhury, and Joint General Secretary Shariful Alam Apu, among others. The newly appointed committee also includes Mustafiz Rahman as Organizing Secretary and Deepak Sarkar Topu as Joint Organizing Secretary. Majnur Rahman takes on the role of Literature and Publication Secretary, with Moqaddes-e-Rabbi as the Assistant Literature and Publication Secretary. Laila Shirina has been named Finance Secretary, while Farhaduzzaman Faruk takes on the responsibilities of Publicity Secretary. Additional roles within the committee include Mubashir Duha as Information Technology Secretary, Muyeed-ul-Islam as Assistant Information Technology Secretary, Sarkar Bablu as Office Secretary, and SM Kamruzzaman Badsha as Assistant Office Secretary. The committee also features Lipika Lipi as International and External Communications Secretary and Adil Fakir as Social Welfare Secretary, among other key positions. These appointments follow the reconstitution of district committees across all eight districts of the Rangpur division, which took place in October and November. This strategic move aims to strengthen the BLP's leadership and foster cultural and literary initiatives in the region.
