Sylhet: Two motorcyclists were killed in two separate road accidents in the district last night. The deceased are Sadikur Rahman, 42, from Jaintapur upazila, an employee at Bangladesh Krishi Bank, Kanaighat branch in Sylhet, and Tajjil Karim, 17, a resident in Dakhin Surma upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mohammad Yunus Ali, in-charge of Tamabil Highway police, reported that Sadikur Rahman died after a bus hit his motorcycle on the Sylhet-Tamabil road around 8 pm. He was rushed to MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Additionally, Officer-in-Charge of Airport Thana, Syed Mohammad Anisur Rahman, stated that Tanjil Karim was involved in a multiple collision involving his motorcycle, a truck, and a CNG-run auto rickshaw near Malnichera Tea Garden around 10 pm. Tanjil died on the spot, and three others sustained injuries in the collision.
