Aricha: Ferry movement on the Aricha-Kazirhat route on the Jamuna River has resumed after a four-day suspension due to poor navigability. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the suspension had halted the movement of all ferries, leaving five RoRo ferries stranded at Aricha Ghat. The river route was cleared this noon, allowing ferry operations to recommence. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) reported that approximately 25 vehicles, including passenger buses, private cars, and trucks, were waiting at Aricha Ghat for crossing. Additionally, more than two hundred passenger buses, private cars, and trucks were stranded at Kazirhat, awaiting ferry services. BIWTC Aricha Ghat Manager Abu Abdullah confirmed this information, emphasizing the significance of the resumed ferry operations for the affected commuters and transporters.
