Keraniganj: Awami League general secretary and former minister Obaidul Quader's personal assistant (PA), Abdul Matin, 50, was arrested from Keraniganj today. The arrest took place at Matin's father-in-law's house located in Char Washpur Village of Shakta Union in the Keraniganj upazila. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keraniganj Model Police Station, Sohrab Al-Hasan, confirmed the arrest and mentioned that Abdul Matin, who also serves as the Secretary of Forest and Environment Affairs for the Dhaka North City Unit of the Awami League, had gone into hiding following the fall of the Awami League government on August 5. The OC declined to provide further details regarding the arrest, citing the ongoing investigation as the reason for withholding additional information.
