Both batsmen hit crucial half-centuries, contributing to an unbeaten 141-run partnership for the fourth wicket, which saw Chattogram ending Day 2 at 202-3, trailing by 116 runs. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Barishal was bowled out for 318 in their first innings after starting the day at 236-7. Chattogram faced an early setback as Ruyel Mea claimed two wickets, leaving them at 61-3. However, Yasir and Dipu's composed batting performance provided stability, offering hope for a potential lead in the match. Yasir Ali was at 81 not out, having hit five fours and four sixes from 105 balls, while Dipu contributed 64 runs, sending the ball across the boundary six times. Their partnership has been pivotal in keeping Chattogram in contention. Barishal's innings was bolstere d by Moin Khan, who top-scored with 77 runs, helping add 82 runs to their overnight total. Ashraful Hasan and Enamul Haqu Ashiq were instrumental with the ball, taking 4-68 and 3-31 respectively for Chattogram.
