Barishal: A total of 90 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, of the new cases, 64 were reported in Barishal division (excluding BCC area), seven in Chattogram division (excluding CCC area), five in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 13 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one in Mymensingh division, as stated in a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has now increased to 3,857, with 23 deaths reported from the mosquito-borne disease this year. During the same 24-hour period, 73 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country after receiving treatment.
Last year, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue, and 575 deaths from the disease were reported, the statement added.
