Dhaka: Eighty-two officers of the Bangladesh Police, holding various ranks including Additional IGP, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Additional DIG, and Superintendent of Police (SP), have been designated as Officers On Special Duty (OSD).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the order was signed by Md Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Secretary of the Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, on behalf of the president. The order was issued through separate notifications today.
The notifications indicate that these officers, part of the BCS (Police) cadre, have been transferred or appointed as OSD in the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
