CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 394 bottles of phensedyl from the Shibganj frontier area in Chapainawabganj district early this morning. The operation was carried out by a patrol team from the BGB-59 battalion based on detective information, leading to the recovery of the contraband items. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BGB team conducted a raid around 4:35 a.m. in a bamboo bush at Shialmara village, located in Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila, approximately 500 yards inside Bangladesh territory from border Pillar No. 187/11-S. The bottles of phensedyl were found abandoned at the site. Following the recovery, the seized contraband items were handed over to the police at Shibganj thana. A general diary (GD) was subsequently filed with the relevant police station to document the incident, as confirmed by the sources.
