381 dengue patients taking treatment in Khulna division

KHULNA As many as 381 dengue patients are now

undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics of the Khulna

division.

A total of 9,524 patients were admitted to the different hospitals in

Khulna division since January this year, an official release of Directorate

General of Health Services (DGHS) in Khulna said today. Of them, 8,668

patients have returned home after recovery, it added.

According to the official release, a total of 31 people died of the

mosquito-borne disease so far in the division. A total of 16,119 dengue test

kits have been reserved in the division, it added.

Around 100 new dengue patients got admitted to different hospitals in the

last 24 hours across the division while 475 dengue patients have been

referred to hospitals in the capital.

Meanwhile, a dengue patient died at Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH)

today noon, physician Dr Shailendranath Mistry of KMCH confirmed told BSS.

The deceased was identified as Masura Begum, 25, wife of Habibullah of

village Pakalia under Avyanagar upazila in Jashore.
