Bogura: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8 arrested three accused, including the main accused, Babul, over the murder of businessman Siraj Bepari in Dularhat of Charfashion upazila in the Bhola district. The arrests were confirmed by RAB-8 Camp Commander Lt. Md. Shahriar Rifat Ovi to journalists this morning. The suspects, including Babul, his mother Bhanu Begum, and his wife Hasna Bibi, are all residents of Char Jamuna village under Dularhat police station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrests took place around 10 pm last night from a house in Nataipara of Maltinagar area under Bogura Sadar Police Station. The murder, which occurred on September 4, 2024, involved a dispute over land between Babul and his associates and the victim, Md. Siraj Bepari, in the Char Jamuna area. Following the incident, a case was filed, and the accused went into hiding.
The joint operation by RAB-8 and RAB-12, employing modern technology, culminated in the capture of the suspects in the Bogura district.
