Khulna: A total of 21 fourth-year students from the Agrotechnology Discipline of Khulna University (KU) have received research scholarships. The scholarships were distributed on Sunday afternoon at a ceremony held at the Agronomy Laboratory of the discipline, where each recipient was awarded a cheque of Taka 4,000.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative was supported by Southeast Bank PLC under its education and research grant programme. Prof Md Rejaul Islam, head of the discipline, and other faculty members were present at the ceremony.
University authorities said the programme aims to encourage undergraduate researchers to pursue innovative and impactful studies in the agricultural sector.
