DHAKA- The 13th death anniversary of veteran freedom fighter, labour leader and teacher Ahsanullah Master, MP, will be observed on Sunday.
To mark the day, a week-long programme have been chalked out at different places including Dhaka and Gazipur.
Wreaths will be placed on his grave at his village home Haidrabad under Gazipur City Corporation in the morning on that day. Milad and Doa Mahfil will be organized and food will be distributed among the poor.
Ahsanullah Master, MP, Sriti Parishad will hold a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club at 10.30am on May 6 to mark the day. A souvenir on the memory of the legend labour leader also will be published on the occasion.
Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam, Prime Minister's media advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and leaders of different professional bodies will take part at the discussion meeting.
Ahsanullah Master was elected Member of Parliament twice from Gazipur-2 constituency in 1996 and 2001. He was also a national committee member of Awami League and associated with different national and international
On May 7 in 2004, a group of terrorists patronized by the then four-party alliance government led by BNP, killed him on MA Majid Mia High School ground at Noagaon in the district.
