CHATTOGRAM, A Chattogram court today placed 12
leaders of Chattogram city unit of Jamaat-e-Islami on one-day remand.
The court of metropolitan magistrate Mehnaz Rahman placed
12 leaders of Chattogram city unit of Jamaat-e-Islami, including its Ameer
Mohammad Shahjahan, on one-day remand following the investigation officer
sought five-day remand for each.
Earlier, Panchliash thana police arrested them during a drive in Sugandha
residential area in the port city on August 29.
