President Abdul Hamid on Thursday asked the world’s youths to work together for national development, humanity and welfare of the people.
“The youth can achieve anything when united. The Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 has been one of the largest platforms to unite them,” the president said.
He was virtually speaking at the closing ceremony of the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 joining from Bangabhaban.
He said that the slogan of the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020 was ‘Resilience for Parity and Prosperity’. In crisis, the youth has always put remarkable contributions, just as they did in the recent pandemic time.
He also said that a strong and spirited youth network is a strong force to build resilience against all the hardships and for parity and prosperity.
He hoped that the youth will absorb the philosophy within and keep contributing to the society and humanity.
“As the world is changing, it is the youth who can adapt faster and they are the herald of progress,” he also said.
Calling the youth as the frontier force of the recent development, Hamid said “Bangladesh has a majority of youth, having one of the highest demographic dividends in the world and it is our hopeful and confident prediction that this youth will bring about a better future.”
Hamid said that the Dhaka OIC Youth Capital was a great experience for the youth of the world and Bangladesh.

The president said this celebration of youth had given him further hope that the future of the world is good and no matter what challenges come in the way, the youth will face it boldly, fight it strongly and win it eventually.
“Because, in my experience, I have always observed that the power of youth always wins,” he added.
