Police recover body of a tourist from Cox’s Bazar hotel

The body of a tourist was recovered from a residential hotel in Kalatali of Cox’s Bazar on Friday, police said.

The dead has been identified as Rafsanul Haque (32).

Tourist police recovered the body from Bay One Dutch Hotel, confirmed Additional Superintendent of Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Mohiuddin Ahmed.

According to hotel sources, four friends including Rafsanul Haque came as tourists in Coxis Bazar.

Rafsan and another fell ill allegedly from drinking alcohol. Rafsan died and the other was transferred to Chattogram for advanced medical attention.

Cox’s Bazar Additional District Magistrate Md Abu Sufyan said the family requested to take the body without an autopsy.

“I then recommended that action be taken in accordance with the law subject to investigation,” he added.
