Narsingdi: Police have recovered the body of a youth named Monsur Ali (25) from a pond in Changao village under Amdia Union of Madhabdi upazila in Narsingdi. The recovery took place around 10:30 am on Friday when police from Madhabdi Police Station arrived at the scene after being alerted by locals.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased, Monsur Ali, was the son of Motalib from Changao village and worked as an auto-rickshaw driver. His father expressed uncertainty about his son’s death, stating that Monsur had not returned home since the previous night.
Locals reported noticing a body floating in the pond during their morning walk and subsequently informed the police. Upon receiving the alert, officers from Madhabdi Police Station responded to a 999 emergency call to recover the body. Md. Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Madhabdi Police Station, stated that the exact cause of death remains unknown at this time. The body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy, and further details will emerge following an investigation.
