Dhaka: Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah today emphasized the need for the young generation to take the lead in the country’s governance. “Old, worn-out politicians do not want the rise of youth. It is time for the youth to come forward and take the lead of the country to overthrow the old, rotten, and irrelevant systems,” Hasnat Abdullah declared.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hasnat Abdullah delivered these remarks at the 11-party alliance’s election rally, titled ‘Journey of Justice’, held at Shahzadpur Government College ground. The rally was organized in support of the alliance-backed candidate SM Saif Mostafiz for the Sirajganj-6 constituency. During his speech, Hasnat warned about a group of people attacking women’s dignity, security, and religious freedom, asserting that those who undermine traditional values threaten the integrity of the entire nation.

He also addressed concerns about the integrity of the upcoming elections, stating, “Those preparing to occupy polling centers will not get that chance. If anyone comes to snatch voting rights, we will resist with our last drop of blood. People’s voting rights will be ensured this time.” Hasnat further accused certain media outlets of suppressing the truth, urging them to abandon brokerage and stand with the people.

The rally was presided over by Shahzadpur Upazila Jamaat Ameer Md. Mizanur Rahman, with Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan attending as the chief guest. Alliance candidate SM Saif Mostafiz expressed confidence that the people of Shahzadpur would reject corrupt practices through their votes. Leaders from Jamaat-e-Islami, Khelafat Majlis, and other alliance parties also addressed the gathering.
