Dhaka: Addressing the nation this evening, National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam declared that all incidents of enforced disappearances, killings, torture, false cases, and attacks committed during the fascist Awami League era would be brought to justice.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Nahid Islam accused the fallen fascist Sheikh Hasina of using state machinery over the past 15 years for disappearances, killings, imprisonment without trial, attacks, torture, and false cases involving political wings and other state institutions. He assured that all hidden criminals involved in these heinous acts will be identified, investigated, tried, and punished.

Nahid further criticized the law enforcement forces for their ineffectiveness under “Operation Devil Hunt,” noting that no significant arrests or weapon recoveries have been made. He alleged that the accomplices of fascism are actively destroying evidence and obstructing investigations related to enforced disappearances.

Concluding his address, Nahid emphasized the need to uproot the system of repression and the culture of impunity, aiming to eliminate all fascist tendencies from society. He outlined a comprehensive reform agenda focusing on social justice, economic fairness, and accountable governance while condemning past governments for their discrimination and neglect.
