Bogura: A youth was killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Kalibala area of the district town here today. The deceased was identified as Siam, 18, son of Mannan Pramanik, a Saudi expatriate from Ulipur Dakshinpara area under Sakharia union in Sadar upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred in the town's second highway this afternoon when a motorcycle collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw. The collision resulted in the death of the bike rider, Siam, on the spot, while five others sustained injuries.
Hasan Basir, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bogura Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident. The injured individuals were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
