Pirojpur: The youth kabaddi U-18 tournament for both boys and girls commenced today at the town club ground in Pirojpur, marking the beginning of the festival of youth celebrations in the district. The event was inaugurated by Superintendent of Police Khan Mohammad Abu Naser, who attended as the chief guest. The tournament has been organized by the Pirojpur district police.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman, district BNP member secretary Gazi Wahiduzzaman Lavlu, and Sadar Police Station’s officer-in-charge Abdus Sobahan, who participated as special guests. The tournament features a total of eleven teams hailing from seven upazilas across the Pirojpur district.
In his address during the opening ceremony, Police Superintendent Khan Mohammad Abu Naser expressed that the kabaddi tournament is organized as part of the month-long festival of youth in the district. He emphasized that various activities organized by the district police would continue throughout the festival, aiming to engage and celebrate the youth of the region.
