Rangamati:Twenty-six young artists have gathered to portray the captivating beauty of Rangamati's lush green hills, Kaptai Lake, and the Shuvolong Waterfall on canvas during a three-day art camp.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event, titled "Rangadip-er Rong Kotha," is supported by Rangadip Resort and features participants from various universities and art institutions nationwide. The artists are painting scenes of Kaptai Lake, lotus flowers, traditional jum houses, and aspects of indigenous hill life and culture.
Dhaka University's Angthowai Marma and Allin Chakma, along with Shiromonita Tripura of Narayanganj Fine Arts Institute, expressed that the camp has brought a new dimension to their creative work. They are hopeful for the continuation of similar initiatives in the future.
Alokbrata Chakma, director of Rangadip Resort and organiser of the camp, stated that the initiative aims to give young artists a platform to represent the hill region's beauty and culture. The artists also gain the opportunity to learn about the local lifestyle and traditions, promoting Rangamati's positive image through art.
The participating artists aspire for their artworks to foster understanding and harmony between hill and plainland communities, contributing to friendship among diverse groups.
