Dhaka: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury, MP, extended his greetings to all journalists across the nation on the occasion of ‘World Press Freedom Day’.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the State Minister praised journalists, writers, photographers, and artists for their courageous and objective journalism. He emphasized the crucial role of objective journalism in establishing a strong democratic foundation and state formation. He noted that independent and responsible media serve as a societal mirror, playing a significant role in ensuring state transparency and accountability.

In his message, Yasser Khan Choudhury highlighted the government’s commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, to complete media freedom. He acknowledged the persistent efforts of media professionals in ensuring the free flow of information and expressed hope that journalists will continue to uphold the nation’s interests through their work.
