Narsingdi: The World Teachers’ Day was observed today in Narsingdi district through a rally, a discussion, and an award ceremony. The commemorative events highlighted the impact and dedication of educators in the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the discussion was held at the district Shilpakala Academy, with district Education Officer ASM Abdul Khalek presiding over the event. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain graced the occasion as the chief guest, emphasizing the essential role that teachers play in shaping future generations.
During the programme, five distinguished teachers were honored with crests for their outstanding contributions to education. The awardees included Md. Sohrab Uddin from Narsingdi Government Women’s College, Nur Uddin Md. Alamgir from Shibpur Government Pilot High School, Harendra Biswas from Narsingdi Government Technical School and College, Shamsul Alam from Kajair Islamia Dakhil Madrasa (Palash), and Anjana Rani Singh from Sekandardi Government Primary School.
The event was attended by several government officials, teachers, students, and other community members, reflecting the communal appreciation and respect for educators in Narsingdi.
