Bagerhat: The World Teachers’ Day was observed here in the district today with a series of events, including a rally and discussions. The day began with a rally starting from Swadhinata Udyan, parading through the main roads, and concluding at the Zilla Parishad premises. At noon, a discussion took place at the Zilla Parishad auditorium.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan attended the discussion as the chief guest, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Sadia Islam presided over the event. The gathering also featured insightful contributions from District Education Officer Md. Sadequl Islam, Headmaster of Government Boys’ High School S. M. Abdullah Al Mamun, and Headmaster of Government Girls’ High School Md. Shahidul Islam.
In his remarks, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan highlighted the importance of coordination among teachers, students, and guardians in nurturing talented students who can contribute significantly to the nation’s future. He emphasized that elevating the status and respect of teachers is a reflection of their highest achievement.
