Workshop on Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework Held at BRUR

Rangpur: A workshop titled ‘Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) for Higher Education’ was held at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, organized by the University’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event, which took place in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering virtual classroom, aimed at improving the quality of higher education and elevating it to international standards.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop was attended by the Vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali, who served as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the necessity of aligning the quality of higher education with global standards to address the challenges of the 21st century. He noted that the BNQF is a crucial framework for ensuring that the degrees earned by students receive international recognition. He further elaborated that by adhering to and implementing the framework, students could be transformed into competent and skilled human resources.



The event was presided over by BRUR IQAC Director Professor Dr Md Tajul Islam, who delivered a keynote speech. During his presentation, he focused on the technical aspects of the BNQF and stressed its importance in modernizing the curriculum.



Teachers from various departments of the university actively participated in the workshop. The event also saw the presence of IQAC Additional Directors Dr Md Abdur Rakib and Dr Md Sajib Mia, who contributed to the discussions.
