Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the first two T20 internationals of the best-of-three series against Ireland today. The Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS) is set to host all the matches of the T20I series, which are scheduled for December 5, 7, and 9. This announcement follows Bangladesh's recent success in sweeping the three-match ODI series, which was part of the ICC Women's ODI Super League. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the squad for the first and second T20 matches includes Nigar Sultana Joty as Captain and wicketkeeper, with Nahida Akter serving as Vice Captain. Other team members are Murshida Khatun, Dilara Akter, Sharmin Akter Supta, Sobhana Mostary, Shorna Akter, Ritu Moni, Rabeya, Fahima Khatun, Fariha Islam Trisna, Jahanara Alam, Jannatul Ferdus Sumona, Taj Nehar, and Shanjida Akhter Maghla. The stand-by players include Disha Niswas, Shamima Sultana, and Sarmin Sultana. The upcoming series will be a critical opportunity for Bangladesh to continue showcasing their prowess in the T20 format, following their ODI series victory.
