Dhaka: BRAC Bank Women's Development Cup Hockey will begin from Tuesday (March 11) at Maoulana Bhasanai National Hockey Stadium in the capital: Organised by Bangladesh Hockey Federation, a total of eleven teams -- ten district teams and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) -- split into two groups will participate in the meet.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the participating teams have been divided into two groups for the tournament. Group A comprises teams from Dinajpur district, Jessore district, Chattogram district, Patuakhali district, and Rajshai district. Meanwhile, Group B includes BKSP, Jhenaidah district, Thakurgaon district, Rangpur district, Cumilla district, and Kishorganj district.
The tournament aims to showcase and develop women's hockey in the region, providing a platform for emerging players to demonstrate their skills and compete at a higher level. The event is a significant step in promoting and nurturing talent in women's hockey across the country.
