A woman was killed in a road accident in
Chourongi Mour area on the Satkhira-Khulna Highway in the town this morning.
The deceased was identified as Taslima Khatun, 52, hailed from Gopinathpur
village in Sadar upazila of the distrct.
Police said the accident occurred when a passenger bus crushed Taslima Khatun
in the area around 9 am as she was crossing the highway, leaving her
critically injured.
She was rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where the duty doctor declared her
dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Thana Abu Jihad Fakrul Alam Khan
confirmed the matter.
