Dinajpur: A woman was killed in a road accident in the Dasmile area in Sadar upazila of the district today. The deceased was identified as Halima Khatun, 50, wife of Afsar Ali, and a resident of Askarpur village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 1.30 pm on the Dinajpur-Panchagarh highway. A truck hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider, Halima, dead on the spot, police reported. Halima was returning home on a motorcycle with her husband. Details regarding the incident could not be known immediately.
