Madaripur: A woman was killed in a road accident in the Ukilbari area of Ghatmajhi union under Sadar upazila today. The deceased was identified as Fatema Begum, 55, wife of Jabbar Molla, a resident of Chaturpara Mollakandi area under Mostafapur union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Inspector Sheikh Ahaduzzaman of Madaripur Fire Service reported that the accident occurred around 11 am. A bus hit Fatema Begum after the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall into a roadside ditch.
The injured woman was immediately taken to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
