A 43- year- old woman died, 129 dengue
patients were hospitalized in various hospitals in Chattogram in the last 24
hours until 4 pm on Sunday.
The dengue control room of the district civil surgeon's office said this
afternoon that a total of 129 dengue patients were hospitalized at various
hospitals in Chattogram today.
Of the total 129 patients, 77 were admitted to government hospitals and 52 in
private hospitals.
Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Iliyas Chowdhury said a total of 6,135 dengue
patients have been detected in Chattogram in the last eight months till
September 3 this year and the number of deaths has reached 54 in Chattogram
this year.
Of them 3,605 dengue patients admitted to government hospitals and 2,530 have
received treatment in private hospitals.
A total of 5,917 dengue patients have recovered and returned to their
respective residence, the sources added.
