Will Force Guides Khoshnahar to Educate Her 11 Children

Chattogram: A mother can do everything for her children through her indomitable will power and efforts. Khoshnahar Begum of Chattogram is one of the successful mothers who educated her 11 children with her will force despite many family hurdles.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, she has given up her personal interests, hobbies, and pleasures for the sake of grooming up her children as perfect human beings. All seven sons and four daughters of Khoshnahar are now established in society thanks to her hard work and dedication.



Of the eleven children, three are BCS cadres, one is a businessman, two are working in Japan, and the rest four are students at different universities. The Women and Children Affairs Ministry awarded Khoshnahar as a successful mother in 2022 with the Joyeeta Padak.



Khoshnahar said her first son, Khabir Uddin Ahmed, is now a successful businessman. Khabir started his business after passing MA, she added. Her second son, Khorshed Uddin Ahmed, is now living in Japan after passing BBA and MBA from Osaka University of Japan. Her third son, Engineer Sahab Uddin, is also living in Japan after passing BSC and MSC from Osaka University.



Fourth son, Engineer Dr. Rakib Uddin, did his MSC and PhD degree from a university in the United States after passing BSC from BUET. Fifth son, Dr. Iftekhar Uddin, is a doctor and now posted in Nabinagar Upazila Health Complex of Brahmanbaria. He did his MBBS from Sylhet Medical College.



Her sixth child, Halima Jahan, is now an Assistant Police Super after passing BCS, while the seventh daughter, Asma Jahan, is now an assistant commissioner after passing BCS and is now discharging her duty as executive magistrate. She did her MSS from Dhaka University.



Eighth daughter, Nazma Jahan Sarker, is now studying for a Masters in the Social Science Department from Chattogram University, and ninth son, Saiful Alam, is now doing MBBS from Chattogram Medical College. Her tenth son, Ashraful Alam, is doing BSC from a university in Dhaka, while the eleventh daughter, Saysha Jahan Sarker, is now a student of the third year of the Law Department of Dhaka University.



Khoshnahar said the path was not so easy. ‘I’ve struggled my whole life to establish my children. It is really a matter of pleasure for every parent to educate their children well.’ She also thanked the government for encouraging successful women and mothers for their outstanding contribution in different areas of society.
