Manikganj: The upazila administration today conducted a mobile court drive in Daulatpur upazila to control the illegal riding of motorcycles without valid driving licences and helmets. During the Eid holidays, a group of young people was frequently seen riding motorcycles without licences and safety gear, posing a threat to public safety. In response, the mobile court, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nahian Nuren, took action under the Road Transport Act.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, as part of the drive, a total of 16 individuals were detained and fined Tk. 7,500 in total for violating traffic laws. UNO Nahian Nuren stated that the mobile court drive was part of a regular enforcement initiative aimed at ensuring road safety and discipline on local roads.
