Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast that the weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country for the next 24 hours beginning at 9 am today. The forecast includes potential rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and gusty winds likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions during the period.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a mild and moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the districts of Manikganj, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Dinajpur, and Nilphamari, and it may continue. The country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius in Jashore today, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.2 degrees Celsius in Dimla, Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall was recorded at 50 millimeters in Sylhet in the last 24 hours as of 9 am today. Additionally, the sun is set to set at 6:24 PM today and will rise again at 5:29 AM tomorrow in the capital.
