Dhaka: The United States is backing Bangladesh's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare through UNICEF with an emergency measles-rubella vaccination campaign aimed at delivering over 21.9 million doses. This initiative is set to protect 1.2 million children under the age of five.
According to United News of Bangladesh, this effort aligns with the Donald Trump administration's America First Global Health Strategy, which focuses on preventing disease outbreaks abroad. The campaign not only aims to safeguard both America and Bangladesh but also intends to strengthen global health systems and protect communities from infectious diseases. The US Embassy in Dhaka confirmed these details in a statement on Wednesday.
