Dhaka: US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat on Sunday. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office, as confirmed by his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir were present during the meeting. During their discussion, the US Ambassador presented two photographs and a replica of the White House to the Prime Minister.
Rumon mentioned that one of the photographs features martyred President Ziaur Rahman with former US President Jimmy Carter, while the other depicts former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia with former US President George HW Bush.
