425.3% Surge in Remittance Inflow Till April 4

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 425.3 percent, reaching US$339 million in the first four days of April, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $65 million.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the July to April 5, 2026 period of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances totaling $26,548 million. This marks a significant increase from the $21,850 million remitted during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
