University Educators Encouraged to Uncover Students’ Hidden Potential: BRUR VC.

Rangpur: Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali emphasized the role of university teachers in nurturing and developing the hidden talents of students. Speaking at a workshop, he urged educators to focus on providing quality, work-oriented education that aligns with the demands of the modern world, beyond traditional textbook learning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop, titled ‘Professional Integrity for University Teachers’, was organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BRUR. The event took place in the virtual classroom of Academic Building-2 on the campus. In his address as the chief guest, Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali highlighted the importance of giving students a vision for setting life goals from the early stages of their educational journey.

The Vice-chancellor expressed optimism that the insights gained from the workshop would enhance the professional capabilities of the participating teachers, empowering them
to help students discover and develop their latent talents in the classroom environment. The workshop was chaired by Director of BRUR IQAC, Professor Dr Md Tajul Islam, while Professor Dr AKM Fazlul Haque from Daffodil International University served as the keynote speaker.

The session saw participation from teachers of various departments of BRUR and was moderated by Dr Md Abdul Latif, the Additional Director of BRUR IQAC. The event aimed to foster a culture of professional integrity and skill development among university educators, equipping them with the necessary tools to guide students in realizing their full potential.
