Unhealthy Air Quality Recorded at Serian District Police Headquarters

Serian:The Serian District Police Headquarters in Sarawak reported an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 151 as of 9 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal showed that 63 other areas across the nation recorded moderate API readings. Among these were Sri Aman in Sarawak with a reading of 98, Batu Pahat in Johor at 81, Cheras in Kuala Lumpur at 69, Klang in Selangor at 62, and Kimanis in Sabah at 56.

Meanwhile, only three areas reported good air quality. These included Tanah Merah in Kelantan with an API of 47, Langkawi in Kedah at 46, and Besut in Terengganu at 43.

The API scale categorizes readings of 0 to 50 as good air quality, 51 to 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and readings above 300 as hazardous.
